coração vagabundo(lyrics, brasilia)

My heart never tires
Of hope
One day be everything you want
Child of my heart
Not only is the remembrance
A looming happy woman
That went through my dreams
Without saying goodbye
And made my eyes
A cry more without end
Meu coração vagabundo
Want to save the world
In me
Meu coração vagabundo
Want to save the world
In me

I keep it with mine

A poem for troy davis (1956)

They got hoits and toits
all line up outside that prison,
crying!

They got illegitimate evidence
becoming legitimate reason
for a fight.

They got France and
Iraq on the same
side.

Now all the time,
they got
cops! crooks!
lawyers! lizards! snakes! leopards!
judges!
All them rubbing
the crumbs between they palms together
and hiding a gold tooth
grin behind prayer position.

Now they out there
waitin for a barbeque,
while them youth sittin in
the front of the tv
camera, like they about
to kiss it. like
they missed it a long time,
but they yellin at it too!
Like they mad at they lover
or like kids crying
in the supermarket for
something they know
daddy aint gettin em.

And all the time i'm
in your bed. watching
the sunrise in the mornin',
over your shoulders and
stomach that start to
look like hills and your
eyes and face start
to look like
forever oceans
in front of that hilly landscape.

And im noticin that,
that black boy troy
on the poster for no death
is startin to look asian
and middle eastern
and european.

And im noticin that,
that boy troy
is wearing a dress
that got flowers on it,
and he yellin into an
intercom about justice
and truth.

And he lightin candles
and takin pictures of me
takin pictures of him.
Cryin bout me who is him.

And he leavin the protest
tired.
And he going to the bar
to loosen up and unravel
his spirit.
And he with his lover
and she shining her eyes
in his like the sun.
And she smiling and kissing him
while she walk her bike next to her.

And they at the bar drunk, in love.
Just dancin by the jukebox, with
cigarettes in they mouth.

And so as im watchin
the sunrise over your hills
and over your ocean. and
im thinkin of troy in
his floral dress with his
pickett sign and his lover.
Im just imaginin with a smile
that wherever he is, he allright.
